1. Gently brush off some of the excess seasoning and place meat in cold water in a large pot to boil. Make sure that your corned beef is covered by a few inches of water.
2. Bring to a boil.
3. Turn down heat and simmer for about 3.5 hours or until fork tender.
4. Remove from pot.
OPTIONAL GLAZED TOPPING
1. Mix together 1/3 part brown sugar and 2/3 spicy mustard.
2. Coat corned beef with mixture.
3. Bake 30 min at 300°F
