The Tacos El Precioso team popped up at the dock this week to talk tacos
and their new agave bar in Jack London Square.

How did you get started with Tacos El Precioso? When?
I started Tacos El Precioso in the Summer of 2018, selling tacos outside of local bars and coffee shops.
At the encouragement of my friends, I reached out to local bar owners to let me sell late night out front.
I used to work at the local farmers markets so it was important to me to source my ingredients from
local farmers that I had built relationships with over the previous years.
What inspires your food?
Our food is inspired by our changing seasons.
We strive to use seasonal produce as much as possible and think of
new ways to change people’s minds about what tacos can be.
Favorite culinary destination?
My favorite local culinary destination would have to be the Marshall Store in Tomales Bay.
The drive is always beautiful, the grilled oysters are always amazing, and the staff is super friendly.
Best taco you ever ate?
Beef Barbacoa tacos my family made when I was a teenager at my family's ranch in Nuevo Leon.
It's the inspiration for one of the tacos on our new upcoming menu at the restaurant.
Crunchy or soft taco?
It's so hard to choose. Both are amazing in their own right. The filling is so important too.
A good crispy taco de papa always has a soft spot in my heart
but a beef taco in a handmade flour tortilla would be my favorite.
